A counsellors role is to provide support and techniques to address specific concerns in your relationship.
Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)
Originally developed for military combat veterans and later adapted for civilian first responders, CISM helps individuals involved in a critical incident share their experiences, express their emotions, learn about stress reactions and symptoms, and receive referrals for further assistance.
CISM groups can be helpful whenever there's a need to address the impact of trauma in people's lives. For instance, CISM groups are often helpful for families after the loss of a loved one.
